This position is to support my clients ever-growing customer base with technical support relating to their online data backup software and services. These are exciting times for my client as they are bringing in brand new software and this role will develop into supporting both types of software as their existing customers move from the existing software to the new!
You will be providing support by means of telephone, email and remote sessions depending on the issue at hand along with the technical ability of the individual you are dealing with. Often customers are dealing with a stressful situation of data loss, so a calming nature and level head is a distinct advantage.
By using the in-house ticketing system and CRM and with the support of other team members including the Technical Manager, you will be tasked with problem solving and supporting the customer in need by fixing the issues they are currently suffering from.
Training will be in-house initially but as my clients’ company evolves there may be the option of accredited training supplied externally.
Another aspect that you will be involved with is supporting the Managing Director dealing with Sales enquiries. These will be incoming calls on the phone, email or from my client’s website in the form of a contact us page. No cold calling or lead sourcing is involved.
The sales side will be a very minor percentage of the working day and only when you are at a knowledgeable stage with the support and services as a whole.
You will have a good knowledge of Windows and ideally Mac and Linux. Although training and support will be given the candidate must be able to hit the ground running and therefore have a working knowledge of operating systems. Data Backup familiarity is desired but not essential.
Hours – Monday to Friday 0900-1700 with Weekend support on a rota basis usually a 3-week cycle.
Holiday – 25 days plus bank holidays Plus 2 weeks at Christmas. That is a lot of Holiday!!! Oh, and that does not include the extra day gained every year capped at 30 days….

Pension – will be automatically enrolled
Responsible to – Technical Manager and Managing Director.
Salary – Dependant on experience and abilities.
